Week six of the 2025 NFL season
Live coverage includes live text of the weekend matchups on various channels, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, audio coverage can be heard through designated networks for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).
It's week six in the NFL season and after last week's discussion about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each lost their unbeaten records.
Striking during those contests were the amount of penalties both committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they essentially defeated themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, who play in London this weekend.
However it proved positive to see how Denver's QB Bo Nix managed to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the game 21-17.
The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They are number one in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, and Denver prevailed in that contest.
They had the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They did not always sending more than four pass rushers instead they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap then drop them out and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.
At the start in the campaign, we said on a program that Denver might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year well and did a good job of building upon that.
Are the Denver Broncos this year's underdog story?
New tight end their tight end has stepped up big and recent RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He now ranks 5th in the NFL in ground gains (402) as well as tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).
It's impressive how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.
This demonstrates that the Broncos are a team aiming to prioritize the run, because one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes and maintains in favourable situations.
This has benefited QB Bo Nix, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert possess powerful arms to throw anywhere, but they don't move the mobility as Nix. He boasts incredible passing ability, a unique trait, and he's so athletic.
His strengths are his mobility, the capacity to pass while moving, and using different arm angles to make the pass as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver precision throws across the middle and over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays a lot of composure in the pocket and is not bothered by extra rushers. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able pass in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and is quick to decide.
If you constantly run the ball it eats up time and forces the opponent to be on the field extended periods, and if you've got a mobile QB the defense must defend the area vertically and horizontally. It can be exhausting.
The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline at times and it seems the coach likes that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for the coach to have a young quarterback that is kind of like moldable clay. He can truly build something up the way he desires to build it. I think it's a special experience for him.
Payton owns a Super Bowl and now surpassed a legend in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is mostly down to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix helps make him into who he is.
There's no better a better guy in your ear, to assist you through difficult moments and boost confidence.
I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team strong enough to face an elite team at full strength? Because that wasn't championship-level play from Philadelphia in their last game.
Currently, it's unlikely Denver are incredible. They're working above average, that's a solid position to hold their division. All they need is is maintain this path.
They excel at embracing their strength, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they must do against the Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.
The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad yet to win any game.
Ever since the NFL began tracking takeaways in 1933, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach with another team.
The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.
After this Sunday's game, Denver face a manageable slate until their break (in week 12) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.
Looking at their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the division.
It depends upon what version of the Chiefs they face since the Broncos {beat|def
